Delivered on time, Delivered with damage

Although my package was delivered within the window stated, it was smashed and ripped open. Nothing in the package was damaged, but it was disappointing to see my parents' Christmas presents delivered in such a state. I've used Parcel Monkey in the past and have never had an issue before. I hope this was just a fluke, I know that accidents happen.
